About Me
What's so creative about a rectangle?
You're most certainly right. Rectangles are boring. But that's only because you're not looking at them right...
That pretty much sums up what I do with my animation and illustration. I often make the extraordinary out of the ordinary, but most often out of nothing at all.
My name is Sebastian Certik, and I am that rectangle-bender!
My work, heavily influenced by 80s and 90s music videos, underground comics of the 1960s, vintage fantasy art, plus a hint of ragtime and early 1900s ephemera, aims to be humorous, bizarre, grotesque, and sometimes shocking. Heavy use of color, exaggeration, a wide range of interesting styles and techniques, and sheer intensity, evokes and plays with the emotions.
And you'll also occasionally see a pig lurking where you least expect to see it.
Some random facts…
Besides my work with Rectangle Creative, I am also a graphic design student at SNHU.
